The states are trying to exert their sovereignty and over 30 have joined......it takes 2/3rds of the states to call for a constitutional convention...and I believe its the only way for Congress to notice...they are so self absorbed in their own little left wing bubble.
and if they'd like universal health care...ok....but all the members of congress need to sign up first!
No special health care for them...so when they have to get on a waiting list to get a test done or if they get too old and get denied..too fat and get denied, smoke and get denied, they will have only themselves to blame.
The people of California has hopefully sent a message with us not voting for more taxes...most people are getting really fed up with our government and their big spending. Sacramento has
told the feds they don't want a bail out but that remains to be seen. I don't think there is "anything too big to fail". That statement is pure arrogance.
You know, years ago there was a big controversy about allowing the lottery, and we were promised it would take care of our schools....that the schools would be entirely paid for by the lottery...well, that didn't happen...personally, I have no idea where the lottery money goes.
But its not all together Sacramento's fault...last year for example, we had an election and a lot of expensive things were voted for...like a speed rail to Las Vegas..alternative fuels..some of them were great ideas but like we asked ourselves, who is going to pay for it? We pay the highest tax rate except for Hawaii, and our state is hemmoraging, lots of people and businesses leaving. This is not the California I grew up with and know.
Have you noticed that all the states that are in trouble are blue states run by Democrats? every one of them...California, New York, New Jersey, etc. ...both parties have gotten away from our Constitution but for the most part, Republicans are fiscally responsible. I am a registered Republican but am seriously thinking of re-registering as an Independent
All the while, the President is saying things are getting better....kinda like Nero fiddled while Rome burned....we haven't even seen what will happen when the commercial foreclosures start...we have many large empty commercial buildings here...there is one whole mall almost empty except for a mattress shop and a fast food restaurant...there are entire housing tracts boarded up ....things getting better? I don't think so.
and with that note.....
Philippians 4:6
"Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done."I just got a shipment in of really nice crafting patterns.....and put a few of them in my
Etsy shop...I posted others in my regular store blog but couldn't resist showing off this pattern.
I thought these little bunnies are so darling...almost didn't list the pattern and use it myself..these are made out of socks, believe it or not....the pattern gives directions for making the bunnies and has different clothing styles...Christmas also....cute, cute, cute...especially the baby bunnies...
I also got a pattern to make these cute sitting hen and rooster....
both the above items sold, thanks!
I have another pattern for recycled grocery store bags...and much more....as times are bad, handmade gifts are the way to go......and summer is a good time to start for the holidays....
and of course, Julie Andrews...this was done in Antwerp, Belgium....at a train station... On a Monday morning, with no warning , a recording of Julie Andrews comes on the public address system singing “Do, Re, Mi.” As the curious passengers watch in amazement, some 200 dancers begin to appear from the crowd.
Those patterns are just adorable! The buck-tooth boy bunny is so funny!!!
ReplyDeleteI thought he was really cute too and comical....
ReplyDeleteYay! The patterns are mine! *hehehahahoho* (evil laugh)
ReplyDeleteSeriously- the bunnies were just too cute to resist... and you HAVE to stop putting chicken items up for sale! LOL
Awesome video Dani and awesome patterns..remind me by email if you list any more patterns..you know I have an addiction for patterns :)
ReplyDeleteIf I ever save up money for a road trip it would be to come and visit the dog rescue by you.
I think when I start selling again I am going to donate some of the proceeds to your dog rescue and save some so I can rescue a dog and some kitties soon :)
