Artifacts may identify biblical Sodom
ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - An Albuquerque archeologist and his team have returned with artifacts from a dig site near the Dead Sea which they believe reveals the lost city of Sodom. They've been digging for 4 years and there is the direct website you might like to read about..
its called the Tall el-Hammam project...there is some great links with lots of photos....I would love to volunteer on one of these digs....dirty work with some meager living arrangements but well worth it....they have actually found pottery with the workman's finger prints imbedded in the clay....they only work in the winter months with the nice 50 to 70 degree temperatures so heat isn't a problem...... you do get to stay in a hotel and there is a spa close by.....hmmm, doesn't sound too bad.....
Its been fairly warm here ..yesterday it was 100 and we had to turn the AC on..The garden is doing well and we had harvested some baby yellow crookneck summer squash this morning, had them cooked, mixed in our scrambled eggs for breakfast...we also added yellow and red tomatoes..it was delicious...with iced tea for brunch.....you can add onion, or peppers (ours aren't there yet), chopped other veggies, and some grated cheese. It makes a easy frugal and delicious meal any time of day....
Hi Dani! I went to the ancient dig website and you're right: it really is fascinating! Those jars were beautifully executed -- nothing crude about the primitive jars! I remember from high school how you had an interest in archeology... Have you investigated some of the Red Sea crossing digs? http://www.arkdiscovery.com/red_sea_crossing.htm I'd be interested in your opinion! Hugs in Jesus, your ol' pal, K
ReplyDeleteYour brunch sounds so good. I love those little squash, we used to fry them like fish.
