Wednesday Visit

I've been fairly busy so haven't posted much this last week. I wanted to share my African violets with you as they're blooming so well right now.

I also finished a new candle mat. I made this one rather primitive and I really like it. Its a pretty sunflower.

                                    Its in my Etsy shop now and ready for a new home.

I've also signed up for Bible Gateway's 40 Day Journey with Dietrich Bonhoeffer and its terrific. Today he speaks about work and prayer...

Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and not for your masters, since you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you serve the Lord Christ. Colossians 3:23

Friday Inspiration

Friday....8-8-08....many marriages today all over the world as this is supposedly a lucky day...
Eccleiastes 4:12 "A cord of three strands is not quickly broken"...a marriage doesn't need luck..a marriage needs Jesus!
Our life together has had lots of twists and turns, stresses and joys, sorrows and happiness, wealth and poverty....Jesus has held our marriage together for 35 years as that third cord.
There is so much apostasy in the Church now...so many delight in hearing teaching that
"tickles the ears"...so many don't read or understand the scripture or know who Jesus is..all of this was foretold long ago...
Get back to basics, get back to scripture, forget the latest self help books, forget the "great teachers", get back to the Bible.
