Saturday morning...its cool and overcast but nothing like what has happened in so much of the country..my heart goes out to all those effected by the bad weather...high winds, hail, flooding....I am not sure if global warming is the culprit but my prayers are with those that are suffering...and the tornado season is just starting....makes one want to live underground!

I got the ceiling fans cleaned and did a lot of dusting....I don't know if it will help our allergies but can't hurt.... Our furnace has an air filtration system and we are supposed to clean the pad every 2 months but haven't lately...another thing to do...
The group Apronista has really taken off and everyone is busy with their apron creations...some lovely creations being made....I have yet to get to mine...I wondered why I was hesitating and I think its because I don't trust these glasses...I should be getting the new ones in 10 days or so..after the cross stitch fiasco, I just don't trust them anymore....they are scratched and cracked so small things are distorted slightly....I can see fine for typing but fine work fails me....I do have one all cut out so it won't take me long when I can see well again...

I won another pattern...this is for a caddy to hold thread and scissors...I thought the chickens were a kick.....so soon as the glasses come, I will have a lot of things to do...aprons, tea cozies and now these...

  1. I am laughing so hard right now, Dani- I bought this same pattern two weeks ago!
First the tea cozy pattern and now this one... great minds think alike, don't they! LOL
I am a sucker for any rooster or chicken pattern, though- I just can't help myself.
    Have a great day!

  3. Hi Dani!
Thank you for posting on my blog, I do hope you return often! The thread count on the "Anne" cross-stitch is only 14 count...it is fiddlers cloth that came with the kit. I prefer 28 count evenweave, but wasn't going to change it.
Hope you are having a great day!!

  4. I need to get new glasses too Dani...but right now I am just enjoying blaming needing new glasses for all my mistakes LOL
I was able to get 6 Aprons finished this week and another set of Potato and Onion bags. I put pictures of the apron's on my blog and have listed all but 1 in my web site. I have listed the potato bag and onion bag in there too. My web site if finally full and now I will have to take something out so I can put my tags in there when I get them finished.
It was a whopping 66 degrees here today and I was able to get a lot of stuff done in the yard. I even have the Humming Bird garden all ready to plant in. I don't really expect to see any for a few weeks but I think I will put some nectar in a couple feeders just in case.
Supposed to be nice out again tomorrow so looks like I will be spending a good part of the day out there again. The Girls are really enjoying it too.
I am anxious to see your Apron when you get it finished. Did the pattern you showed also have a tea cozy in it???I didn't see one on the cover of the pattern.
