Previews of the Chinese Olympic Game Landscaping
Here are a few previews of what the Chinese are accomplishing for their Olympic games. Lovely, huh? I have mixed feelings about the games themselves...with their human rights violations, slave labor camps, Christian persecution and cheaply made goods....I can only hope these games will somehow show light where there is darkness.
tell me what you think...

Dani, I have some very important information for Cora on how she can get some help with her cancer treatment. I left a comment on her last post but there are so many comments that I don't know if she will see it. If you know how to get in touch with her please have her email me at teri.calhoun@gmail.com or
ReplyDeletecheck out my comments on her post 2 days ago about her family helping her pay for her meds. Thanks. Love your site. Will look at it more closely later. Right now I have to get Cora's attention. Thanks.
Interesting post Dani! I have mixed feelings too. I'm sure the human interest stories between events won't focus on the religious persecution, including the matyrdom of a Bishop last year and countless other Christians. I doubt that forced abortion and infant abandonment will ever be mentioned. It wouldn't be "politically correct" after all...
ReplyDeleteI just believe that "all things work for the good for those who love God", and that there are some innocent people who will benefit from these events taking place in their country.
Though it's funny... while I was writing the above, I was thinking of all the un-Christian legislature that apalls me right here in the good ol' USA.
I guess it's a good thing we're only passing through this world, huh? "You may have all this world.... Give me Jesus".....
Love you... *Linda*
Hi Dani,
ReplyDeleteI guess this could be a touchy subject. I don't anyone is in favor of the inhumanity that is going on in China. But the bottom line is that if we really cared, we - meaning us Americans- would stop buying from China. Which is hard to do since we can't afford what's made in the USA. The sad fact is that everytime we buy an item with the "made in China" label, we are supporting forced abortions, religious persecution, etc. However, I agree with Linda that good can come out of all this.

I'm in agreement with Linda Pinda - light in the darkness is the precise term used by Asian pastor friends of ours - they believe the Lord is preparing a mighty work in Asia and maybe the Olympics will give more behind the scenes freedoms to believers in China. Beautiful pictures - incredible skill at topiary - as good as Disney right? HA! anyhow - good topic - not keen on having the Olympics much anyhow - so much money and hype and politics involved. my 2 cents worth -
ReplyDeleteLindo!
ReplyDeleteMaravilhoso!
Deus é muito bom!!!!!!!!!
