We always wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas. Being thankful is important. I read on Facebook some comments saying they wouldn't celebrate because of the oppression of the native peoples. But that is short sighted. In our house, we celebrate the day by considering the past years blessings.
I'm thankful for two beautiful healthy grandchildren. Our little Emma was born this year!
Emma Grace will be walking any day now! She's 9 months old.
And our Jayden has grown so much and is talking up a storm. He tries so hard to be helpful.
Only 2 1/2 too!
I'm thankful for my wonderful husband of 40 years (Dec. 1st) and what a good grandpa he is.
He looks alot like Santa, doesn't he? Many other things to be thankful for, health, a warm and safe home, food, and a loving family. We are truly blest. God has been very good to us.

You are right about being Thankful for a lot of things that we take for granted. It will just be Billy and I for TG but that is by choice. Oldest son called and invited us but we do have the 4 dogs and is a long trip to his house and then spending time with them would be to long to crate the dogs..They have been through a lot lately so we will just stay here and can eat in our jamies if we want to. Not making a big dinner but thinking we might have pork chops since that is our favorite meal and then have the other goodies with it. I love your pictures with the 4 legged kids and also the ones of your grandkids..Time sure does fly doesn't it. Have a good week and enjoy your dinner with your family...Hugs..Nancy
ReplyDeleteWe agree with you, Thanksgiving can be for celebrating and thanking God for our many blessings. That is sort of what my post today is about. Your two grandkids are darling and your hubby looks like a happy grandpa.
