Happy Monday

I just discovered this Etsy artist...are not these magpies wonderful! Robyn is a California artist and her shop is something out of fairyland...hope you will visit and enjoy her creations as much as I have....

Its quite warm here today and windy.....great for drying clothes...I try to get outside and keep the bird bath full for our feathered friends....this time of year is hard on them..we noticed that the hummingbird feeder has constant visits now too......August is usually our hottest month.....today is about 98....which isn't by far the hottest we've experienced...usually August is in the 105 range.....
We try to get out early in the morning for yard work....started pulling out the corn stalks right now....I do have two dozen corn in the freezer....which will be nice this winter....some of the larger tomatoes are starting to get ripe so I may get to can a few quarts..and just enjoy the rest....
and now for some funnies....

    It has been really nice here for almost a week now..in upper 70's and low 80's..I had flops on sitting outside on swing and feet actually got cold..had to come in and put socks on. Our Hummingbirds have slowed down just a little but the other birds are making up for it.
    We have a huge field of sweet corn next to our yard and were told to help ourself and Billy has been getting some and plan to get more and stock up on corn in the freezer..We Love Corn on the Cob and will taste especially good this winter. Have a great week Dani and give you know who a hug for me. I love the kitty pictures..That commerical with the homeless dogs and cats gets to me..can't handle watching it very long and always try to help when I can :)
