YES! The plumber got finished yesterday and we now have hot water..and our gas stove back..I popped corn yesterday and strung two garlands for the tree while watching our Inspector Lewis videos...you don't appreciate basic necessities until you lose them, huh? I feel for Amrita in India as she says their electricity goes out on a daily basis....I took a nice needed shower this morning and feel alot better.....
The building inspector showed up yesterday and the contractor got to work finishing the roofing...they came again early this morning and got all the plywood down, and papered it..the weather is cloudy and looks like it will rain any minute, so they worked fast....it was discussed yesterday about cleaning the inside with something called
Dry Ice Blasting...its really amazing....previously the contractor had used soda blasting which is very messy..the soda has to be cleaned up afterward...dry ice blasting is clean...this video is one I found online that explains it well.....I am not advertising the specific company just the blasting itself....it even cleans delicate books.....I hope they do this in our garage...thinking of asking them to clean our stove grills too! LOL, don't know if that would be possible..it sure would be nice to have clean grills though...

Dani, I can imagine how you must be feeling. I remember being without water for a short period of time when we were having some work done to the house and I did not like it!

You are right about not knowing how much you miss something until you don't have it and have to get by other ways.
ReplyDeleteMakes you wonder how the pioneer's did it huh?
Glad that things are getting back to normal. Let us know how you like the dry ice blasting!
