Freezing Temps and the Tea Party

Very cold morning today..down to freezing, just what the fruit trees and garden don't need...they  look ok so maybe no harm done...time will tell......the dog didn't want to go for his walk earlier as it was so cold..he ran out and then ran back in....we had quite a bit of rain and the ground is very soppy...when my son went to work early this morning, there was about a 1/4" of ice on his windshield....so if you ever hear someone say that California always is sunny and warm..think again..that's only on the coast where the ocean breezes keep the weather at bay most of the time.

Both the boys left very early this morning, our oldest had to be at work at 5:30 as a truck was coming in with supplies he had to unload... thankful they are both working almost full time now....

Michele Bachmann is introducing legislation so that our men and women in uniform will never again have to worry whether they will receive their paychecks  in the event of a government shutdown.... here is her Facebook statement-
“The negotiations which led up to this vote reaffirmed a simple truth: our troops should not be used as pawns in political negotiations. I am planning to introduce legislation so that our men and women in uniform are never again in the situation of wondering whether or not they will receive a paycheck in the event of a government shutdown. If we reach another impasse like we did this week, our active duty military and their families must know that their paychecks are secure.

“The deal that was reached tonight is a disappointment for me and for millions of Americans who expected $100 billion in cuts, who wanted to make sure their tax dollars stopped flowing to the nation’s largest abortion provider, and who wanted us to defund ObamaCare. Instead, we’ve been asked to settle for $39 billion in cuts, even as we continue to fund Planned Parenthood and the implementation of ObamaCare. Sadly, we’re missing the mandate given us by voters last November, and for that reason I voted against the Continuing Resolution.”

 I don't know what your opinion is on the other items she mentioned but to use our military  in this way is totally unacceptable....
We are Tea Party members....although I don't use this blog as a political one and really don't want to .......but if you don't understand about the Tea Party and have heard what alot of the media is saying, much of which is false by the way....here is Bill Whittle again with part I of a explanation which is excellent....what most Tea Party members believe is really just common sense..which isn't too common any more...
