My Thoughts

I thought this might help in getting down to the issues.....with all the accusations going on, the actual issues get pushed to the side...as a Christian, although neither party is perfect, the Republican platform is closer to being more scriptural than the Democratic...just click on it to see it better...
As far as the financial crisis that has been in the news this week, each party pointing its finger at the other....kinda silly to my way of thinking, this isn't a party issue but simple human greed and bad judgment...I don't think its right for the government to bail out these banks anyway....maybe they should bail out all the little citizens who fell for these "great" deals and are losing their homes....
In the old Testament every 7 year was a year of Jubilee in which everyone debts would be forgiven...wouldn't it be great if we could do something like that now?
OOPS, I stand corrected, the Year of Jubilee was every 50 years...guess I was thinking 7X7 as it says in Leviticus 25:8 , thanks, David & Julie

I was sent this but its right on..
What Do You Think?

You couldn't get a job at McDonalds and become district manager after 143 days of experience.

You couldn't become chief of surgery after 143 days of experience of being a surgeon.

You couldn't get a job as a teacher and be the superintendent after 143 days of experience.

You couldn't join the military and become a colonel after a 143 days of experience.

You couldn't get a job as a reporter and become the nightly news anchor after 143 days of experience.

BUT....

From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That's how many days the Senate was actually in session and working. After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World .... 143 days!

We all have to start somewhere. The senate is a good start, but after 143 days, that's all it is - a start. AND, strangely, a large sector of the American public is okay with this and campaigning for him. We wouldn't accept this in our own line of work, yet some are okay with this for the President of the United States of America ?

Come on folks, we are not voting for the next American Idol!

  1. Oi Dani,
bom seria se o mundo continuasse sendo o mesmo de antigamente, mas, o progresso traz certas coisas que não entendemos.
Deus é bom e sabe todas as coisas, confiemos Nele.
Bom fim de semana e um abraço
    Bye

  2. I'm all for the year of jubilee!

Have you read about The Constitution Party with Chuck Baldwin? He is a bit radical for some but we're cheering him on here at the Blakney ranch!

Thanks for the checklist. That certainly does make things clear, doesn't it?

    Blessings,
