Spring has come to Southern California and with it, lots of seasonal good stuff...strawberries are now arriving...we went to a local fruit and vegetable stand in Vista, Ca on the way back from a job, and got this half flat of strawberries...the tomatoes are local also as well as the cabbage and limes... Haas avocados are coming into season also and I bought 6...they are in one of Nancy's fabric storage bags to ripen..
..I have a sugar free yellow cake in the oven and tonight, strawberry short cake!
I was so delighted also in being one of the 30+ winners of the PAFA spring giveaway.....I won this darling bunny from Kim Shultz Dickinson..her Etsy shop is the Barn Hollow...
please visit her shop and her blog, The Barn Hollow..

Congrats on your win, that bunny is adorable!!! We have a few months to wait for fresh strawberries here but they sure look delicious:P
ReplyDeleteI Love the Bunny Dani (of course you already knew that huh?) The Strawberries look so good. Billy used to pick them at a farm in WI and then I would freeze some and make jam etc etc. They were on sale in the store here for $2.00 a pint :( Glad you are making good use of the veggie bag..I have a few more if you ever need one let me know:)
ReplyDeleteNewspaper is coming here tomorrow to take pictures..should be interesting trying to get 4 dogs to be still :)
Dani -- THAT is what I miss about living in Southern CA (the high cost of living and traffic, not so much, lol). Your bunny is a cutie. How is that grandbaby doing? Happy Saturday :)

Gorgeous produce there - nothing local available here right now (unless you count gorgeous ruby red grapefruit from Rio Grande Valley -long distance for local!) Haven't been checking in with you but good to see you are busy and OH MY the camellias are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dani for sharing your win! I can't wait for her to arrive in Cali, hope she arrives safely.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for fresh local produce again, gonna be awhile in Ohio, lol
Warm Wishes,
Kim
