Nancy has made up some Iowa Hawk orange scented soap and I wanted to let all the Hawkeye fans out there, it will only be available for a limited time. These are the best soap that I know of and would make a wonderful little gift for that special fan. Stock up for Christmas, birthday or other holiday!
Just comment and let me know if you're interested and I'll get you in touch with her. The soap is quite reasonable in price also.

Finished Card and other news
I finished the Shih Tzu card and its in my Etsy shop now. I had alot of fun making this little puppy. I think she's really cute. She's become my favorite, I think. She's my No. 1.
We've only gotten 12 people to sign up for the February Giveaway so hope if you're reading this , you'll take the time to sign up. One winner this time, so there is a good chance you will win. Go over to the Crafting Friends Trio to sign up, here is the link.
I'm giving away this rather primitive candle mat which is exclusive for the giveaway.
Its called In My Garden and the pattern is from Primitive Stitches.
Its was a wet and cool weekend for us. The storm came in Friday evening and we woke on Saturday to cool wet rain. The peas are going crazy with the wet stuff and I've seen a big leap in growth with them. Also two more tomato seedlings sprouted in their peat pots.
and now for a funnie..

Sneak Peak!
This is a sneak peak of the third in the series of dog cards..this is a little Shih Tzu puppy. They are adorable little dogs but do take alot of grooming. I just finished stitching her last night and haven't made the card up yet but think shes kinda cute. Many of these stitched cards are suitable for framing.

Some New Cards
I've been stitching some greeting cards, and doing a series of dog patterns..this is a favorite of a Border Collie. The saying is My Best Friend.
Here is another one, this one is called Top Dog...he's just a muttly dog, no particular breed.
The third one I'm not finished with yet..its a Shih Tzu puppy. I'll share that another day. There are more in the series so I hope to get those patterns soon.
I took the photos outside as you can see the dimension, otherwise they look rather flat which isn't the case at all. You will find these cards and more in my Etsy shop, Sweet Home Stitchery

Garden News and Our Giveaway
I hope you all had a nice Valentines day. Our weather has been on the warm side, in the 80s so we enjoyed the garden, sipping iced tea and watching the grand kids play in the yard. I know, I know, many of you reading this are inside with heavy snow outside and cold. But our warm weather comes with a cost, more drought in the future, sigh.
I'm glad we converted much of our lawn to raised beds and I hope to do more in the future. Drip irrigation has helped cut our water bill. The beets will be ready to harvest in about a month now. The peas are up and curling around a rather primitive net I hastily made. Its not much for looks but does the job.
I wanted to tell you all about our giveaway on our group blog, Crafting Friends Trio. There will be one winner for all three items that are being given away. I'm giving away this primitive inspired candle mat, the pattern is from Primitive Stitches. Garden inspired with flowers.
Please sign up and click here for the link. The giveaway will end Feb. 28th.

Garden News Plus
Alan also put tomato seeds into peat pots. I sure hope we have good tomatoes this year as last year was a real bust with hardly enough to can. I did manage to make about 4 pints of sauce but that;s not nearly enough for an entire winter. Guess we 're spoiled with home canned tomato sauce but its so flavorful and better than anything you can buy.
I've been working on spring time candle mats, and also listed this nice Valentine candle mat which includes a heart shaped candle in my Etsy shop..
I've autographed it also on the bottom with the date as each of them are entire handmade and one of a kind.
Nancy Huggins sent me some soap petals with various scents to try. I love all of them but am partial to the orange. It gets nasty scents off your hands in the kitchen such as after cutting onions. I also found it great after changing diapers also! Our grandson is fairly potty trained but does wear a diaper at night. One of her popular items is the garden soap she makes with a hanging rope for the water spigot.
So handy to get the mud and dirt off after gardening.
She's also been making these darling soaps with family pets which have proven very popular.
Shown above with her American Eskimos.
You can find her at our group blog, Crafting Friends Trio
